Credits & Pricing
Clous plans, credit allotments, per-call credit costs, and overage rates.
Credits & Pricing
Clous is metered in credits. Every API call debits credits according to the work it does — a simple identifier resolution costs a couple of credits, while a parsed filing download or an AI briefing costs more. Pick a plan with an included credit allotment, and (on paid plans) pay a per-1,000 overage rate beyond it.
Plans
| Plan | Price | Included credits |
|---|---|---|
| Free Sandbox | $0 | 100 (evaluation only) |
| Starter | $49 / mo | 7,500 |
| Builder | $149 / mo | 35,000 |
| Pro | $399 / mo | 125,000 |
| Scale | $999 / mo | 500,000 |
| Business | $2,500 / mo | 1,500,000 |

The Free Sandbox is for evaluation only. Enterprise covers custom volumes and terms — contact us to talk.
Overage rates
When you exceed your plan's included credits, additional credits are billed per 1,000:
| Plan | Overage per 1,000 credits |
|---|---|
| Starter | $10.00 |
| Builder | $7.50 |
| Pro | $5.00 |
| Scale | $3.50 |
| Business | $2.50 |
The Free Sandbox has no overage — it stops at 100 credits.
Credit costs per operation
Costs are ranges because they depend on the size and depth of the result. Many of these operations correspond to endpoints that are still on the roadmap; the live Form ADV adviser endpoints fall under filing search and metadata.
| Operation | Credits |
|---|---|
| Resolve an identifier to a canonical entity | 1–2 |
| Search filings | 3–5 |
| Filing metadata | 3–5 |
| Download / parse a filing | 10–20 |
| AI filing briefing | 25–50 |
| Full company profile | 25–50 |
| Watchlist event | 5–20 |
Credit costs and the exact debit for a given call are reflected in your
dashboard usage logs. Use the query_echo field in each
response to confirm exactly which parameters were applied.
